My sweet Valentines

Heart shaped pancakes.
I convinced Kimball to wear the cape "Superman side" for Valentines. He wore his fancy new shirt from Grandma.

You're just not a pirate without an eye patch!

Kathryn was invited to a little boy's birthday party. It was a pirate party and we found out just 20 minutes before that we were suppose to dress her up. We were lucky that we had some things in the dress up box. Minutes before we were suppose to leave, Carter said she needed an eye patch. He thought he knew where one was. I kept calling down to him to see if he found one, and then he came upstairs and said, "I couldn't find one...but I made her this one." He taken poster board and cut and stapled one together. It was so sweet. I was so happy that her brother was so thoughtful!
Oh! And check out those boots. They go clear up past her knees and she would wear them everyday if I would let her! They are hand-me-downs from Miranda in California!

Photography Class

Yesterday I went to a photography class to kinda understand the concepts of good pictures. I practiced after with the kids. I was trying to use the manual setting on the camera, but this is as good as I got. I am super bummed about the first one though, I was playing around with iphoto and ended up erasing Kimball's black eye. I couldn't figure out how to undo!
I'm grateful for a computer that works, but I've been using Chris' mac and I just don't know how to use it very well.

Building their OWN snowman!

The weather this spring has been so funny. One day it will be spring and the next day it will be winter and snow on the ground. Carter and Kathryn (mostly Carter) were so ambitious to build their OWN snowman. It was a cute little fella! They filled the garbage can with snow for the body and used rocks for the face...and of course a carrot!

We love Grandpa Doug!

Grandpa gave Kathryn a dollar for putting her shoes on the right foot. She really just loves his attention! I love these pictures because this is what I remember about Grandpa Doug - sitting on his lap and laughing at all the silly things he says!

Younger Brother

Being the younger brother, you grow up so fast. Carter has trained you in all the ways of "the force." You love the big kid books about Star Wars, playing light sabers, and you know all the names of the heroes and villains in the series. Stay little, Kimball Owen Jack. Take a nap and dream about little boy things...
Oh...he told me he wants a Batman birthday party!
