It was a beautiful day today, as Millie was blessed. She had the most glorious gown that Grandma Janice bought her. It was really long - we held it up to Kathryn and it was about the length of her whole body. Millie was like a little doll in the bonnet. At picture time, she was super fussy...it was hot and I think she wanted OUT of the layers. So pictures of her in the dress will come soon.
Chris gave a lovely blessing to her. Above are the men that participated in the circle. He named her Camille Jayne Coombs, and told her that she had been born into a wonderful family with lots of love and happiness. And told her that her sweet spirit has already touched the lives of our family and those around her. He encouraged her to follow the example of her brothers and sister and to choose the right. He encouraged her to follow her mother (how sweet) and raise her own children in righteousness and to rely on her parents. He blessed her to be strong and healthy. He blessed her to find a worthy man to take her to the temple. He did a great job, when he sat down he was sweating so bad. He said, "it's so hot!" I think it was his nerves...because I thought the temperature was just fine! After sacrament meeting, we had a brunch at our home. Ham, potatoes, rolls, salads, and desserts! It was a lovely morning and we're so glad that so many supported us. Millie has been blessed to be born into a family that loves her!
The grandpas that blessed her.
I love this picture. I'm so happy that Kathryn will have a sister to grow up with.
